La Cala Valley is a new-build community of houses in Mijas, set slightly inland in the La Cala de Mijas district on the Costa del Sol. Buyers choose between semi-detached homes, terraced townhouses and villas, each with 3 to 5 bedrooms and the same number of bathrooms. Living space starts at about 150 m² and goes beyond 430 m², which covers everything from a family home with guest rooms to a villa big enough for grandparents to come and stay for the summer.

Every house has its own garden and a terrace facing south or south-east. The specification includes a private pool, underfloor heating, a fireplace, solar panels and home automation. With energy rating B and 29 kWh/m² per year, running costs stay modest even if you live here all year.

In a straight line, Santana Golf & Country Club is roughly 1 km away, La Cala's centre about 2.5 km and the Playa de La Cala - El Torreón beach around 3 km. Málaga airport lies about 24 km off, which keeps weekend trips from northern Europe realistic.

The project

La Cala Valley is laid out as a gated enclave of houses at street level, each extended downwards with a basement. Three types appear in the price list: semi-detached houses, terraced townhouses and detached villas. Depending on the type you get 3 to 5 bedrooms and 3 to 5 bathrooms, with roughly 150 to 431 m² of living space. The fully fitted kitchen flows into the lounge, and inside you also find built-in wardrobes, a utility room, a games room and a lift.

Outdoors, every home comes with a private terrace of 28 to 109 m², partly covered, plus its own landscaped garden of 26 to 261 m². There is a barbecue, and a private pool is on the feature list. Depending on where the house sits, the outlook takes in the sea, the mountains, open countryside or the garden. Cars go in a private garage that holds several vehicles, fitted with an EV charger.

Comfort indoors comes from air conditioning pre-installed for both cooling and heating, underfloor heating that reaches the bathrooms too, and a fireplace for cooler evenings. Double glazing, photovoltaic panels and domotics help the homes reach energy rating B at 29 kWh/m² per year. The complex is gated with an entry phone at the gate, and the south and south-east orientation brings sun onto terraces and gardens for much of the day.

Who is La Cala Valley for?

La Cala Valley suits families and couples who want room to spread out: three to five bedrooms, a garden of their own and outdoor living with a southerly aspect. Golfers have Santana Golf & Country Club a kilometre or so away, and frequent flyers are about 24 km from Málaga. Underfloor heating, a fireplace and a B rating make it a sound choice for year-round living. Worth knowing: the beach is around 3 km off, so the sea and the village are generally a short drive rather than a stroll.
