Mala Kai is a new-build scheme in Estepona that puts the beach, a golf course and the town's hospital close enough to walk to. In straight-line terms the sand is roughly 300 metres off, Azata Golf about 600 metres and the Hospital de Alta Resolución de Estepona around 700 metres. A supermarket sits about 100 metres from the gates, and there is a restaurant within the complex.
The homes are ground-floor, middle-floor and top-floor flats spread across seven low blocks of three storeys. They have one to three bedrooms and roughly 114 to 160 m² of living space. Every flat has a terrace. Some ground-floor units also have a private garden of between about 17 and 146 m², and there are homes with a solarium.
Residents get a pool, a gym, a jacuzzi and underground parking. Puerto Estepona marina is about 3 km away and Estepona's centre around 4.5 km. Gibraltar is the closest airport at roughly 31.5 km, with Málaga about 69 km away.
