Haiku Suites is a compact new build development in Estepona, made up of two low-rise blocks of flats set on the New Golden Mile, on the eastern side of the municipality towards Marbella. Every home has two or three bedrooms, two bathrooms and between 94 and 133 m² of interior space, and none comes without its own terrace. On the upper level, those terraces stretch to more than 140 m².
What stands out is how much sits within easy reach. Flamingos Golf is roughly 700 metres away, as is a shop for everyday groceries. Playa de Guadalmansa lies about 1.5 km off, the Bel-Air centre is a similar distance, and Hospital Hospiten de Estepona is around 2.5 km. Gibraltar is the closest airport at about 43.5 km, with Málaga at roughly 56 km offering the wider choice of routes.
Shared facilities include a swimming pool, landscaped gardens and a gym. With a lift, a storage room and garage parking, Haiku Suites suits full-time residents as well as owners who visit a few times a year and want a home that is simple to lock up and leave.

Haiku Suites is arranged in two blocks, each with a ground floor and two storeys above, which gives three kinds of flat: ground level, middle floor and top floor. Interiors range from 94 to 133 m². Each one has two or three bedrooms and two bathrooms, one of them en suite to the main bedroom, and the kitchen opens onto the lounge so that cooking and relaxing share the same space. Outside, every home has a private terrace with a covered section. Sizes vary considerably, from around 19 m² to over 143 m², and the largest terraces belong to the top-floor homes.
Residents share a swimming pool, planted communal gardens and a gym, and the homes look out over the greenery and the pool. Cars go in a garage with private spaces, and the development also has storage rooms, handy for golf bags, bicycles or suitcases.
A lift serves every floor, and the building has been planned so that wheelchair users and anyone unsteady on their feet can move around it comfortably. Guests call up through an entry phone at the entrance. Double glazing keeps out heat and noise, the bathrooms have underfloor heating, and hot water comes from a solar system. No energy rating has been published for the development yet.
