Set in the hills behind Marbella, Almazara Gardens is a new-build development in Istán, a mountain village on the Costa del Sol in the province of Málaga. Its main draw is the outlook: the views take in mountains, the reservoir and, further off, the sea. Life here leans towards the outdoors, as every home comes with a terrace of roughly 32 to 145 m².
The homes are ground-floor, middle-floor and top-floor flats plus penthouses, spread over six blocks that rise no higher than three storeys. Each has 2 or 3 bedrooms, two bathrooms and between about 97 and 114 m² of living space, with a fully fitted kitchen open to the lounge. An A energy rating, at 14 kWh/m² a year, keeps running costs modest, and reversible air conditioning deals with summer heat as well as chillier winter days.
Residents share a pool and landscaped communal gardens, and cars go into an underground car park. As the crow flies, Club de Golf Aloha is 3.5 km away, the centre of Istán 4 km, Playa del Ancón just over 5 km and Málaga Airport 43 km.

Six blocks make up the scheme, each with a ground floor and two storeys above it. You can choose between flats on the ground, middle and top floors, with the penthouses forming the uppermost level. Every home has 2 or 3 bedrooms and two bathrooms, one of them en suite to the main bedroom, and living space ranges from about 97 to 114 m².
